What a great WASTECON 2008!
Let me start with a great big THANK YOU to Tammy Hayes and the AWESOME team from the Florida Chapter that worked so hard to make WASTECON 2008 a great experience for all our members, attendees and exhibitors. The chapter volunteers helped out with great tours, proctors, registration staff, flags, golf tournament, publicity, and an incredible Wednesday Night Networking Event at Busch Gardens. I hope that you will all join me in congratulating the Florida Chapter on a great WASTECON!
Next I'd like to thank all of the SWANA members who volunteered their time. From the technical program committees, to the speakers, to the tour sites, to the board members to our WASTECON Committee. Your time and efforts is appreciated by all the members of SWANA and WASTECON attendees.
I'd also like the thank our exhibitors and sponsors who help to make this event a great experience for the attendees. There support is important not only to WASTECON but SWANA programming throughout the year.
Thanks to the SWANA staff. I'm always amazed at how much our small staff (20 or so) can accomplish.
Finally, I'd like to thank all the WASTECON attendees. It's great to see our members and get to talk with them. I hope you enjoyed your time in Tampa and will make plans to come to Long Beach for WASTECON 2009. Tell your colleagues and solid waste friends about your experiences and bring them along to sunny California!
